07/20/2007 - NEW ZOMBIE FILM PROJECT "THE ESCAPE"
I am so pleased to announce this brand new project that I am very excited and
eager to get started. The Escape will be my second zombie film but a brand new start to
another franchise. Although Deadlands 2 is very much still in the picture this project is very
different in not only story, but zombie characteristics and mayhem. The premise is about 6
people stuck inside a movie theater cineplex trying to escape to safety on the night of a
zombie uprising. The Escape will be very grand and epic in scale much like Deadlands: The
Rising, but unlike Deadlands 1 it will be a short film. I recently completed the 4th and final
revision and am already posting casting calls for DC and Baltimore actors to join the project. We
expect the film to run 25 minutes, and the really great news is my co-composer from Deadlands
1 has agreed to score The Escape with me, in fact I am already hard at work on the score.
Shooting is expected to begin in late September/Early October 2007.
07/19/2007 - MAJOR SITE UPDATE!
PLAYINGWITHDEADTHINGS.COM is evolving. What was once a website dedicated to the
Feature Motion Picture "Deadlands: The Rising" will now become the HQ of all the zombie film
projects by Gary Ugarek's WETNWILDRADIO Films. In the next few weeks more and more
content will be added as well as information about current projects, Podcasts and Reviews of
other zombies films, and the soundtracks to the WETNWILDRADIO Films library.

07/01/2007 - DEADLANDS: The Rising Festival News
I was informed that DEADLANDS: The Rising has not only been accepted into the
Weekend De Le Peur film festival in France, but festival director Michael Abbate also informed
me the film nabbed some awards in the process including, Best Film, Best Director, Audience
Choice, and Excellence award. With this that makes 5 awards total DEADLANDS: The Rising has
garnered in the last year.
06/01/2007 - DEADLANDS completes Theatrical Run
It is with great pleasure I announce the completion of a successful theatrical run for
deadlands: the rising. After doing a tour in hagerstown, md the film moved off to Nebraska for
an additional run and has not returned home for archive. next stop... international.
